Finny and Gene are the best of friends, but everything changes the summer of 1943.  It's one year before they are seniors, which means one year till they join the war.

 

   One day while the boys are climbing a tree one of them has an "accident" and severly breaks his leg. Through this mishap a dark secret errupts and one of the boys  lives will change for good.
